To be honest, all three you mentioned and netKar Pro all have a lot to offer and all have their drawbacks. The one thing they all have in common is they are proper sims, unlike Toca which is really an arcade game.... semi-sim at best.
brief thoughts...
LFS:- Good physics, superb ease of use when it comes to multiplayer, still a big community despite it being a lot quieter than it used to be, though once the next patch arrives it will really take off again (for a while at least)
Limited to the content the devs produce.
rFactor :- More content than you'll ever get to use. Lots of very good tracks. Lots of cars but 90% of them are pretty poor physics wise.
Pick up racing is pretty poor due to the massive spread of users over the amount of content. Some good leagues though.
iRacing. Equal top of the bunch when it comes to physics and the clear leader when it comes to top quality tracks. Very in depth service offering everything you can possibly want as a serious sim racer. Very regular updates and new content. Worth every penny if your serious about the hobby.
netKar Pro. Physics on a par with iRacing (if not slightly better) Another hardcore sim for the serious sim racer. Limited car choice, but all are absolutely top quality. Not a whole lot of tracks, but more community built tracks appearing slowly but surely. Next to no pickup racing but plenty of league racing to be found. Dirt cheap.
As i said..they all have plus and minus points. I race all of them on and off because they all offer something the others dont. We'll worth having them all in your collection. Dont be put off by iRacings price. There's nearly always some sort of offer going on where you can pick up three months subs cheap.
Yeah, love some of the Winter Olympic sports ( the ones DWB mentioned mainly + Luge) and its on during the night over here, which is great for a night owl like myself.
It really wasn't that impressive. The 3D was done better than anything before it, but that's about it.The rest of it just looked..well...computer generated....
(and i sure as hell dont want to see many films going down the 3D route. It's fine as an occasional novelty, but thats all)
LMAO. Restricted from good fun?
Don't make assumptions about people you know nothing about. I don't know about Mackie but you're as far off the mark as you could get with me. (Though i must admit i do a good grumpy old man impression on the internet at times )
What the hell? How can you hate Michael Mann? He directed two awesome movies, Heat and The Insider, along with some other really good films , Manhunter,The Last Of The Mohicans,Public Enemies. Even Collateral and Ali were fairly good.
Edit:- Just checked your age. Explains it all. Don't worry..you'll grow up one day and realize substance wins out over style every time. Eye candy should enhance a story, not be a substitute for one.
Indeed..it's the king of the eggbeaters for FSX. It's always my bird of choice when exploring any new scenery i purchase.
The planes i rate just as highly are the A2A Piper Cub (with the accusim addon) and Digital Aviation's Dornier DO-27. Realair's Spitfires are pretty damn good too.
Treat them all well or your in for a brown trouser moment
..It's certainly not as good as T1, but it's still a very solid action flick that i still whip out for a watch a couple of times a year and enjoy every time. I sure as hell wont be able to say the same about Avatar which i will never watch again in my life.
I cant really compare it to 'Silence' as they are totally different films. That's a fantastic thriller and T2 is a popcorn action movie. Not really a fair comparison. I like them both equally for different reasons.
